Who We Are

Aylgorith exists because the dominant narratives about AI are written by those who benefit most from its extraction.

We are an investigative platform built to counter that imbalance. Based in the Global South and writing for a global audience, we publish long-form investigations into:

• AI labor supply chains — the invisible annotators, content moderators, and data workers whose underpaid work trains billion-dollar models
• Digital colonialism — how AI development reproduces colonial extraction patterns through data harvesting, algorithmic governance, and unequal IP regimes
• AI policy capture — mapping who controls global AI governance institutions, who funds them, and whose interests they serve
• Economic displacement — documenting how AI automation impacts Global South economies, labor markets, and knowledge workers

We don’t do press releases. We don’t do “thought leadership.” We do research-backed accountability journalism that names systems, tracks money, and centers the voices structurally excluded from AI’s design.

Our Editorial Standards

Every Aylgorith investigation is:

• Source-rigorous — primary documents, financial filings, policy papers, and on-record interviews; no anonymous “sources say” unless legally necessary
• Data-verifiable — claims are backed by datasets, publicly accessible records, or reproducible analysis
• Structurally focused — we analyze systems and incentives, not just individual actors; the goal is pattern recognition, not personality drama
• Global South-centered — our default lens is how AI development impacts economies, workers, and communities outside the US/EU/China power centers

We publish under a licensing model that makes our work accessible to Global South students and educators while maintaining editorial independence.

Aylgorith operates as a high-accountability, low-bureaucracy research environment.

We expect:

• Intellectual rigor — your work will be edited, fact-checked, and held to publication standards; sloppy research doesn’t ship
• Deadline discipline — we run on structured cycles with clear deliverables; “I was busy” isn’t a reason, it’s a symptom
• Self-directed learning — you will encounter domains you don’t know; you’re expected to research, ask clarifying questions, and level up fast
• Outcome ownership — if your name is on it, you’re accountable for it; no hiding behind “the team” or “the process”

This is not a “get coffee and sit in on meetings” internship. You will research, write, publish, and defend your work.

Our Structure

Aylgorith operates under Rova Media Digital Inc., a Delaware C-corporation founded to build publishing and investigative infrastructure that doesn’t depend on philanthropic capture or ad-driven incentives.

We are:

• Editorially independent — no investors to please, no foundation agendas to serve
• Licensing-based — revenue comes from institutional subscriptions, B2B education partnerships, and tiered individual access
• Founder-led — founded by Uchechukwu Ajuzieogu, a researcher and entrepreneur with 174+ peer-reviewed publications spanning AI economics, governance, and African technology policy; and 15+ years building technology companies globally.

We are not a nonprofit. We are not a VC-backed startup. We are a publishing company that treats investigative journalism as infrastructure, not content.

Work With Us

We hire for roles, not résumés.

What matters is:

• Can you research a complex topic and produce a coherent brief?
• Can you hit deadlines without supervision?
• Can you write clearly, cite accurately, and take editorial feedback without ego?

If you can do those three things, your background is secondary.
